Richard Mille is obsessed by cars. That obsession is most evident when he climbs behind the wheel of his 1969 Lola MkIII B, and he is also a sponsor and supporter of Williams Formula One
driver Felipe Massa, the McLaren and the Haas Formula One teams, plus the house of Richard Mille is the main sponsor of the Le Mans Classic.
The 8th edition of the motorsport event attracted 123,000 petrol heads who watched racing cars in very different classes tear around the famous Bugatti track. A striking participant was a recent classic of French origin that has a special bond with the track. The Peugeot 905 is a Group C prototype from 1990 that was able to win the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1992 and 1993. The car has a carbon fibre chassis built by the aviation and space travel specialists at Dassault and the car is powered by a loudly howling 3.499 cc V10. As well as the screaming, wailing, thundering and growling of engines, the other thing that could be heard was the subtle ticking of a special watch, limited to 150 pieces. Especially for the 2016 edition of the Le Mans Classic Richard Mille presented the RM 11-02 Le Mans Classic, a chronograph with sober details in British Racing Green.
