‘Look mom, no date!’ The Heritage 146 is a re-interpretation of one of Zenith’s historic 1960s models. The 38mm case is delightfully slender and the absence of a date keeps the dial refreshingly clean. A great new El Primero-equipped chronograph in blue or brown.
The Heritage 146 is not just looks. Inside the steel beats a new high-frequency automatic chronograph movement ensuring a 50-hour power reserve. The original 146D calibre, a pre-El Primero movement, beat at the rhythm of 18,000 vibrations per hour, had a 38-hour power reserve and displayed only the hours, minutes and small seconds. In a nod to the 1960s, the 2017 El Primero 4069 movement consisting of 254 components orchestrates a dial layout typical of that period, with two counters lined up on a date-free dial available in sunburst blue or tropical brown versions. A competition leather strap sets the perfect finishing touch, underscoring the vintage nature of this model.
