With the Lunascope, MeisterSinger has welcomed its very first moon phase watch in its collection, and it was worth the wait! The brand dedicated a good portion of the dial to show off a detailed moon against a starry night.
Meistersinger’s moon phase is not only visually impressive but also technically as it is very precise and only requires adjusting once every 128 years. The automatic movement has a power reserve of 38-hours.
What sets the Lunascope even further apart is, of course, it’s one hand that tells the time, a Meistersinger signature. Time can nevertheless be read with a surprising precision thanks to the 5-minute markers. Combined with the moon phase it makes for a very tranquil watch, although a date complication adds practicality.
The Lunascope is fitted in the case of the Pangaea, which means that it is 40 millimetre in diameter, and nearly all dial. This works perfect for this watch, as it gives ample room for the moon phase complication without sacrificing readability, or creating a watch in the process with a diameter that requires very large wrists to be comfortable. Meistersinger offers the Lunascope with either an opaline or a blue dial, and in either version, it is a watch to be ‘over the moon’ about.
