The higher temperatures of summer can do interesting things with the human mind. In Berlin, where Nomos’s design team resides, they became the inspiration for special editions based on their two most sportive models, the Club and the Ahoi.
Against a bright white background, red numerals command your attention. They form a playful contrast with the blued hands, which are set in motion by the neomatik caliber DUW 3001. Despite that this movement is very slender, with a height of only 3.2mm, it also remains a very robust movement, that delivers consistent precision even in more challenging conditions. This is thanks to for example the full bridge over the balance wheel. The finishing is, of course, second-to-none as one come to expect from the brand from Glashütte, with the blued screws adding not only a dash of color, but also a nice reference to the blued hands on the dial side of the watch.
These watches can truly live through the ‘summer madness’ as they not only feature a sturdy stainless steel case and sapphire crystal but are also water resistant up to 200 meters.
