Renowned street-artist Alec Monopoly has done it again. With his instantly recognizable work, he has turned two of TAG Heuer’s iconic designs into mobile art to be worn on the wrist. These two watches also mark the second anniversary of the collaboration between the artist and the Swiss watch brand. The collaboration started in 2016 during the prestigious Miami Contemporary Art Week.
The first new model that received Alec Monopoly’s signature treatment is the Formula 1. Its distinct look has been celebrating TAG Heuer’s involvement in the most prestigious arena of motorsports for decades. Now its stainless steel case and black DLC bezel frame a dial that can only be a creation of Alec Monopoly. Transformed into the familiar character of the board game with the same name, he throws cash all around the dial against the backdrop of his signature.
The second model is a Carrera, but here the scene has a different dynamic as the chronograph counters are integrated into the overall design. Where the Formula 1 runs on a reliable quartz movement, the Carrera is powered by Calibre Heuer 01, the brands own manufacture chronograph. With both watches, TAG Heuer not only expands its successful collaboration with Alec Monopoly but also shows once again that art can be best appreciated when worn on the wrist!
