A birdcage with a diameter of 47mm would seem to be on the small side – certainly for two adult birds and a nest filled with two babies, as well. Still, Jaquet Droz has managed to find a comfortable home for these feathered friends. The birds are happy, as evidenced by the cheerful sounds they produce. But all joking aside: this mechanical creation with singing birds is too astonishing to fully get the effect across in mere words.
