To adjust the main hour hand to local time, the wearer need only pull out the crown and turn it in either direction in one-hour increments – without losing any precision in terms of the minutes and with the date being automatically adjusted both forwards and backwards. Meanwhile, the redtipped hand continues to show home time in 24-hour mode, thus serving to distinguish day from night.
