With SIHH around the corner, many brands are warming up by releasing some of the novelties that they are going to present there. Among them is Vacheron Constantin who has announced the Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Phoenix.
This watch offers a WOW-factor on several levels. First, there is that lavishly engraved case. Noticeable are not only the intricate details of the case, and the amount of them, but also the sense of depth that the engravers have achieved with this piece. No less than 300 hours were invested in getting this result.
The movement is another highlight of this Vacheron Constantin. At the base, we find manual wind caliber 2755, which powers the complex gear trains that connect it to the 15 (!) complications in this watch. Among them are not only a tourbillon and a minute repeater, but also a perpetual calendar and an equation of time display. This Vacheron Constantin has in fact so many complications that the brand not only utilizes the front of the watch to display them, but also the back, which is dominated by a beautiful and detailed sky chart. The Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Phoenix shows what Vacheron Constantin does best, and holds a great promise for this year’s SIHH!
